Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This is a segment where we will be looking at some exceptional visuals from various acts from around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades and through the 90s and 2000s, it has taken flight from multi-million budget music videos, to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but rather highlight some of the creative visuals that pop up on our radar.
Again, we promise to bring you the best from high to low budget, to animated to DIY and first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

Flames Collective – “Unfold (Live)”

UK R&B/soul group Flames Collective entered our playlist with the live performance of their single “Unfold (Live)”. Backed by a soulful progressive grand piano arrangement, the collective deliver a soul-stirring vocal performance peppered with heartfelt aspirational lyrics. The song is taken from their upcoming EP ‘FACETIME‘ out 26th July.

ConSensus – “Invisible”

 

UK rapper Consensus shares visuals for his single “Invisible”. The track shows a connection between science and social interaction between humans from an insightful perspective. The visuals shot in the lab capture the rapper in his element.

 

 

Morg – “Thankful”

LA-based rapper/cinematographer Morg shows appreciation for the small things in his new single “Thankful”. Armed with his laidback flow and heartfelt lyrics, he runs through the events that shaped him and his outlook on life. The visual uses a lot of performance shots with varying angles as motifs.

 

 

Big Dese x Mike Martinez – “Paul Simon” prod. by Mike Martinez

The duo of Massachusetts underground rap legend Big Dese and producer Mike Martinez recently put out their 7th collaborative project, Desperado and now they return with the visuals for the song “Paul Simon”. The track has a moody feel and it’s peppered with Big Dese’s dark humour and irreverent lyrics while the visuals by Chow Films capture the rapper in his element, enjoying his home life with a fat cigar while cooking sausages on his special BBQ grill.

 

 

 

 

AJ Peoples – “Can’t Complain”

Emerging rapper AJ Peoples drops visuals for his song “Can’t Complain”, the track is the perfect appreciation anthem that sees the young man basking in his success. The visuals follow him and a group of friends as they try to enjoy the summer on a boat.

 

 

Russ Millions x Baby Gang – “Any Location”

MOBO award-winning UK drill rapper Russ Millions teams up with Italian rapper Baby Gang for “Any Location”. The anthemic tune is ripe with distinct rap flows from both rappers as they flex their verbal muscles. The visuals shot in different locations use performance shots of Russ and Baby Gang in their respective stomping grounds. The single is taken from Russ’ new mixtape entitled SHYLO.

 

 

 

 

Kingdom Kome – “Money On My Mind” ft. Charlie St. Clout

 

Kingdom Kome returns with a new visual in the form of this go-getter anthem entitled “Money On My Mind” which features vocalist Charlie St. Clout. Over the mid-tempo bouncy track provided by producer/DJ RUEN, the artists deliver a smooth and engaging aspirational tune that aims to motivate listeners. The visuals were shot in downtown Miami (by D. Sakolsky for Gusto Gold Productions) with lots of performance shots and cinematic landscapes that tap into the spirit of the true hustler. “Money On My Mind” is the latest single to drop from the Kingdom Kome X RUEN’s collaborative Malbec 2 LP (which will be officially released this Friday 7/19).

 

 

Gabzy x JayO x Odeal – “Too Fine”

 

Afrobeats singer Gabzy links with JayO and Odeal for “Too Fine”, a smooth R&B-infused afrobeats tune that sees the artists pouring adulations on the special someone in their lives. The trio blend their respective melodic styles into one seamless run that will captivate audiences.  The sleek VEVO video accompanying the release showcases Gabzy, Jayo, and Odeal dressed in white, exuding undeniable swagger as they take turns displaying the melodies and vocals that set them apart in the scene.
