Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This segment looks at exceptional visuals from various acts around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades, from the 90s and 2000s, and has shifted from multi-million-dollar-budget music videos to mid- to low-budget videos with exceptional production values. In this section, we will not discriminate but highlight some creative visuals that pop up on our radar.

Toneyboi x 448 Brad – “Momma Said Move Weight”.
Upstate NY producer/emcee Toneyboi connects with 448 Brad for “Momma Said Move Weight.” The track is an edgy joint that flips the same LL Cool J sample into a whole new banger and finds 448 Brad in his element, dropping fiery bars over Toneyboi’s pulsating backdrop. The accompanying visual was filmed by BrettMikeMedia, who uses black and white hues to accentuate the retro vibe while focusing on the duo’s energetic screen performances. The track is taken from Toneyboi’s new Producer album Leave Your Ego At The Door.

ATOMO x Treintisiete – Flor de Loto (Video Oficial)
Straight out of the Dominican Republic comes the duo ATOMO and Treintisiete, who team up for “Flor de Loto.” The title translates to Lotus Flower in Spanish, and it’s a punchy, lyric-dense cut that highlights the duo’s expressive flow and street edgy bars over Demsproduce‘s moody backdrop. The visuals shot by BONY FILMS capture the duo with their crew in their stomping grounds with performance-based shots and dark cinematic aesthetics.
Fliptrix x FRISCO – “Visionaries”.
Prolific UK emcee Fliptrix returns with the visuals for his song “Visionaries,” featuring Frisco of Boy Better Know fame. The track is a showcase of lyrical dexterity from these two hip-hop titans as they trade double-time bars over a plucky and scenic backdrop. The visuals employ lots of special effects and the use of performance shots of the duo. “Visionaires” is taken from Fliptrix’s 19-track album produced by Forest DLG and featuring General Levy, Coops, Da Flyy Hooligan, Kamakaze, Ayah Marar and a 20-strong High Focus posse cut
MOLIY x bees & honey – “PARTYGYAL”
MOLIY connects with dynamic music production collective bees & honey for “PARTYGYAL,” a sultry afro dance track that will keep the party floor filled to the brim. The production is hypnotic and energetic, while MOLIY’s high-pitched vocals are seductive and mesmerizing. As for the visuals, it’s ominous, stylish and uses lots of red-centred motifs and suggestive performance to drive home MOLIY’s sex appeal without being too explicit.
Ariane X – “Designed to Run”
Multi-genre artist Ariane X enters our visual playlist with her new release “Designed to Run.” The self-produced/self-written track is a contemporary pop/hip-hop-infused track that tackles teenage angst and parenting from a maternal viewpoint. Armed with a laidback flow and layered storytelling style, Ariane X paints a heartfelt tale of unconditional love. The visual style is colourful and uses performance shots with storyboarding that is connected to the song’s theme. The track is taken from her forthcoming album entitled Better.
Bashment Sound x Rema x Skillibeng – “Ballerina”.
Jamaican-born, Miami-based production and DJ duo Bashment Sound (aka Silent Addy and Disco Neil) connect with Nigerian afropop superstar Rema and Skillibeng for the new release “Ballerina.” The track is an infectious modern dancehall banger that blends Jamaican and Nigerian vibes, gripping audiences from across the globe. With such crowd-pleasing sound and mantra-like hook, the crew unveil the equally captivating visuals that uses perofrmnace shots, fast-cuts with cinematic effects to raise the urgency levels.
