The Narrow Cipher is an AI-assisted music project fronted by Mark Goodson and is bringing a modern take on Gospel-influenced hip-hop. Using soundscapes for traditional boom-bap and hard-nosed lyricism, the project aims to enlighten and educate listeners on the power of faith, hope and creativity.
Their new songs “Only Grace (Total Depravity)” and “When He Calls (Irresistable Grace)” are self-released via their label, Grace and Truth Records.
The first track “Only Grace (Total Depravity)” has a carnival music vibe and punchy boom-bap drums. The vocals are smooth and commanding, and the lyrics look at sin and repentance.
