Shani B teams up with producer Raydar Ellis, who laces a bass-heavy trap soundscape for her on the new song titled “Nostalgia”. The somewhat dark backdrop sure fits Shani B’s fiery and smooth vocal style and dense lyricism that detail what really goes on in her head as she swims through this sea called life. She also accentuates the message with a myriad of emotions ranging from anger to solemnity as she comes to terms with the situation at hand allowing her to undergo personal growth and maturity. She adds that the verses serve as different phases of her healing process which ultimately allowed her to work her way to self-forgiveness.

“Nostalgia” is her latest release since she dropped 3 singles in 2018 and serves as something new for the prolific lyricist who can be compared to an early Kendrick Lamar laced with a flair of Lauryn Hill’s soulfulness.
