South Africa-based emerging rapper Patfaded caught our ears with his new single “Tanq and Tonic” and its accompanying video. The mellow record produced by thatboysaem is as soulful and reflective as they come and sees Patfaded sharing with us some personal tales. From being a struggling artist trying to find his footing to the dynamics of living with his parents and other issues, he gives quite a nuanced and unapologetic glimpse into his life.

The visuals by Saint Scott are superb as well and make use of retro effects and gritty aesthetics to capture Patfaded in his element.

“Tanq and Tonic” is taken from PatFaded’s upcoming project In My Own Voice. Get it on SoundCloud.
