The Jamaican New York based emcee Nomad Carlos strikes back at us with a new body of work. He steps up to Farma Beats and both men collaborate to create and serve us what they have called Cipher. This is a 7 track EP with the London producer Farma Beats cooking up the instrumentals whilst Nomad Carlos serves us his laid back but confident flows on each track. What was supposed to be a single when both connected quickly morphed into a full fledged EP with the inspiration coming from the video game Metal Gear Solid. It can be really astonishing where inspiration can come from in the process of music making, still there is a lot to enjoy from this. My standout track is Saintz Go Marchin In, which features fellow members in The Council of The Gods (Inztinkz, Five Steez and The Sickest Drama).
