Mikill Pane is making waves in the UK right now. After a series of dope EPs he comes in with this neat free release, featuring (Guest/Guessed, clever eh) a load of prominent artists including Example, Paloma Faith and Ed Sheeran.
Mikill Pane ft Example – Andy Warhol
Mikill Pane feat. Ed Sheeran – 25 Tracks
I am unashamadly a huge Mikill Pane fan. I’m loving his releases, was fortunate enough to be able to use a track in ‘Are You Listening’ and even own a Mikill Pane sweatshirt (which got compliments from WeedyBoyDetective when we met up a few weeks back, I might add). It’s clear why. Catchy tracks and witty lyrics that are getting attention without resorting to cliche with a smooth flow and a whole lot of swagger. And his Twitter is fantastic, if the music doesn’t work out for some reason there will be a place for him on the stand up comic circuit that’s for sure.
This release is a full circle for Mikill Pane, kinda. Well it’s quite poetic; he got his big ‘break’ as it were on Ed Sheeran’s ‘Collaborations’ EP. After this comes his album I think, which will I’m sure confirm his status as one of the hottest artists in the UK. Really pleased to see such a talent and such a cool guy get so much plaudits for his music. Driven production accompanies Mikill Pane and his guests. Download for free.
