Niagara-based diesel mechanic turned composer MCPHRSN caught our ears with his style of genre-bending instrumentations. During the day, he works with wrenches, nuts and bolts, but at night, he is turning compressor knobs and EQ frequency modulations.

The first track, “Lead the Pack” has a classic trap/crunk bounce with an industrial/electronic feel. The synths have a dark and ominous feel while the sparse drums laced with vocal fxs and subtle sound design make it scenic and somewhat dramatic.

The second track is “We the Celebration,” an anthemic piece that feels like a race scene from a retro game and 90s underground sci-fi action thriller. The track features layered droning synths, pulsing 808-driven drums with crunchy snares and a lush lead and pad arrangement that rises to a plateau.

MCPHRSN is a  Niagara Music Awards winner for Songwriter of the Year and Instrumental Artist of the Year.
