The single, “Slow Down”, is nice but also a good sign for the upcoming project from two of the more elusive artists in hip hop.

Masta Ace hasn’t released an album since 2009 and DOOM always has a ridiculous amount of side projects but the collaboration, MA DOOM: Son of Yvonne, might make the summer release date.

The album is essentially Ace rapping over tracks from DOOM’s Special Herbs series — which was released during the mid 200s/already finished. So, instead of hopping on DOOM’s waiting list, Ace just needed to lace the tracks with lyrics.
