Markus David is a hip-hop/electronic producer based out of Los Angeles. His First single off of his forthcoming Since September EP is called “Stay On My“. The Track is a Flip Of – A Tribe Called Quest’s classic joint “1nce Again“. It’s true golden era hip hop at heart, analog and warm but with subtle electronic flavor.  Featuring Deep chords, neck snapping drums, a classic swing and a refreshing sound. Its an infectious groove and a feel good vibe. The artist describes his music as “Dark Soul”.  A mixture between programmed synths and software instruments with sampled vinyl, it combines the sounds of his parents generation with current production techniques.

Q-Tip is one of my favorite producers of all time, I fell in love with hip-hop largely in part to his productions with Tribe. This song is about that one thing that you can’t stop thinking about, that “stays on your mind” – for me, that will always be Hip Hop music.
