LOWERCASE & SELF release new single “Highly Favoured” [Video]

“Highly Favoured” is the lead single from LOWERCASE and SELF, two individuals carving out their legacy in the game. LOWERCASE is a Canadian-American rapper/producer with roots in Memphis and Jamaica, while SELF was raised in Toronto. Together, the duo takes audiences on an emotional journey with insightful lyrics and vivid storytelling over a soulful backdrop.  LOWERCASE set the ball in motion with his laidback flow and reflective lyrics like “I keep my head held high, started at the pavement/ Aiming for the stars, life is what you make it,” which underscore his dreams and life purpose. SELF enters the fray with an equally potent flow, with bars that explore personal struggles like “Doubt is present, but they live on the other side/Whwre the flowers falling and sun gotta improvise.” At the end, the pair show raw resilience as they run through their struggles and how they weave through the craziness of the world with laser-guided focus.

The accompanying visualizer is performance-based and captures both artists in their element.

“Highly Favoured” is taken from LOWERCASE and SELF’s new collaborative album, LOWERSELF.
