ATL based creative Kumari D’Shay teams up with vocalist Kuniah Adrian for this heartfelt track “LIES WE TELL” that explores police brutality, civil rights violation, and much more.

Over a stark, near sparse backdrop, D’Shay dives deep into the issues with an emotion-laden delivery that expresses her innermost feelings. She recounts the numerous social injustice against black folks and the way systemic racism plays a huge role in facilitating such injustices. The visuals are directed, edited, and produced by Kumari D’Shay herself and it blends a solemn performance shot with clips from live protests.

Kumari is an innovative creative from the Washington, D.C. metro area, who later relocated to Atlanta, GA. where she graduated Spelman College as a Bonner Scholar, Cum Laude, with a degree in Drama.
Determined, clever, optimistic and witty are just a few adjectives that describe this brand of beauty and brains. While navigating the ATL and LA film, television and music industries, she’s managed to connect with some of the top casting directors and entertainment execs which helped her land auditions for MARVEL films and a few pilots and recurring series for Netflix, NBC, The CW, FX, FOX, MTV, BET and other networks.
This young up and coming mogul and philanthropist has her own production company, 90FOUR VISIONS, which currently features herself and other music artists that she’s produced. Her ultimate goal is to use her gifts to inspire, heal, teach and move the world.
