Polaris-nominated Vancouver-based queer Filipinx emcee Kimmortal recently put out their EP, sunniest of days, and now they return with the visuals for the song “STRANGE MAZE.” The track is a laidback, reflective piece that explores the modern-day expectations of the artist/content creator dichotomy. Over Toronto-based producer Junia-T‘s warm backdrop, Kimmortal and Super Duty Tough Work’s Brendan Grey share their thoughts on the topic. From embodying the true purpose of being an artist to the never-ending grind of social media content creation to push music as a commodity, the duo reflect on what their true roles are and find a true balance at the end of it all.

The track comes with a visual filmed, edited and directed by STEVE ROSTE, who captures the duo in their element.

The track is featured on their acclaimed new EP, sunniest of days, digitally available now and on limited edition vinyl via Odd Doll Records (stream / order).

This month, Kimmortal will play shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Winnipeg. Tickets are on sale now.
