I had a great discussion with Headkrack this week for a special edition of the show.

When I prerecord these interviews, I don’t actually stop to play the songs featured. I announce the song for the radio, wait two seconds, and then continue the conversation as if I have played the song. I then spend an hour or two editing the recording to make sure the conversation flows nicely, the volume levels are consistent, and I also get rid of any pauses or double talk. I didn’t have to do much of that this week as Headkrack is a professional on the microphone. It made this week’s edit a lot quicker.

I never really know what the actual play time is going to be until the edit is done and I’ve inserted all the songs that we threw to. During recording, I always have to guess that I’ve recorded the right amount for one block of radio. This time I went a little over.
