South African emcee/producer EMAMKAY drops new single “Sense” as he prepares to drop his new album Love Is Energy. “Sense” is a chilled jazz/neo-soul infused record showcasing his profound songwriting, a knack for off-kilter sound design, and a dash of soothing melodies. The rapper takes us on a relatable journey of self-discovery and finding our true purpose in our dynamic world.
The record features performances from EMAMKAY’s band, the Sounds Like U Quintet: Joel Eze on bass, Jeffery Mahachi on drums, Michael Nkuna on trumpet and Bokang Ramatlapeng on vocals, with EMAMKAY, also providing piano and keyboards.
