Rising Amsterdam-born, Israel-raised singer/songwriter/producer Danny Kuttner has been a busy beaver as she prepares for her new album Lilly, and recently came off a UK tour. With that being said, she unveils her new single “Big Mouth,” which shows a playful side to her artistry. The slow burn of a track is a blend of contemporary pop/Jazz with a touch of experimental soulful aesthetic, punctuated by soothing pads, a prevalent plucky bass, horns and lush stabs underpinned by lilting vocal and expressive melodic runs that rise to a crescendo on the chorus section. The track is a homage to powerhouse singers like Aretha Franklin and Nai Palm, who embody their true artistic selves on stage with their captivating vocals, and here Kuttner taps into their spirit with her own take.
The song comes with a documentary-like visual that shows Kuttner’s music creation process.
Her album Lilly, her deeply personal album, will be released on October 24th.
