Who on earth is Captain Murphy? Tyler the Creator? Flying Lotus? Well, he’s connected to that dope label Brainfeeder – founder FlyLo joined him on a previous track and Azizi and Jae are two Brainfeeder artists (and two of my favourite MCs!)- but I still don’t know. I thought it was Tyler at first, now I think it’s a combination of Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler the Creator and Flying Lotus, but eh. No matter what, he makes cool raps, it’s fun trying to see who it is and his album Duality comes out before long. But it’s amazing how a pitch-shift can mask ones identity. Easier than faking your own death at least.
