BK representative Broadway Barrett hits us with the visuals for his reality-inspired single ‘In My Blood’. The grimy, gritty song feeds off Broadway’s real life experiences. I must say, I’m really digging this tun;, very gritty but soulful as well.

Tune in and get with the program.

Get It Done Entertainment artist Broadway Barrett links up with SpitFireHipHop (premiere) to release the powerful, gritty black-and-white music video for his single “In My Blood”. The video illustrates the raw emotion unmistakable in the Brooklyn rapper/producer’s lyrics and delivery. The song — and all Barrett’s blood, sweet and tears — will be on his debut EP, Without Further Adieu, dropping this fall.

Rising Rapper/Producer Broadway Barrett (aka Robbie Shades) [@BroadwayBarrett] has Hip Hop in his blood. Born and raised in ‘Gunset’, the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY, Barrett grew up amidst the violence and glamour of 1980s New York City. He came up during the golden age of Rap.
Broadway Barrett fell in love for the first time – with Hip Hop – upon hearing “The Show” by Dougie Fresh. He started contributing to the culture by beatboxing for the older kids on his block, then graduated to battling in his school cafeteria and across the Borough of Kings.

Although he felt rapping in his blood, Barrett, like many youth of his generation, was sidetracked by drinking, smoking and selling drugs. What saved him was the realization of his true passion: connecting to listeners through music, as Dougie Fresh reached out to him through “The Show” years before.

Broadway Barrett has performed throughout the U.S. with his crew Korna Res, and is now focusing on his solo career, backed by New York City’s up-and-coming Hip Hop multimedia company GID Entertainment. Barrett’s first single of 2014, “In My Blood”, is out now.
