Budding UK based act Ash Shakur delivers his new summer-tinged single titled “Underwater Love.” Over a piano-driven backdrop, the rapper breaks down his love for his significant other. The south Londoner is known for blending thought-provoking lyrics and storytelling, with a touch of poetic wit. Not limited by genre, his unorthodox style and flow has won fans across the globe. ‘Underwater Love’ showcases this leftfield take on hip-hop, boasting shades of old-school boom bap with smooth melodies, jazz instrumentation and a soul/jazz inspired beat from Donato

The track follows previous single ‘Lead The Way’ which was released through Kitsuné’s new project Kitsuné Hot Stream (a platform combining the music and design spheres) and more recently Ash worked with Berlin producer Bluestaeb on ‘All Smooth’ which was released on Jakarta Records. Previous solo tracks ‘Never Alone’, ‘Nokia’ and ‘Shine’ all cemented Ash as a serious one to watch after being championed by BBC 1Xtra, Noisey, Indie Shuffle, Complex UK, Notion and many more influential platforms.

Ash is also the co-founder of Art Life Central, a collective that expresses creativity and freedom through music and fashion. He aims to inspire people through his vibrant visuals and incorporates this art direction across all of his musical content.
