Singer/songwriter AMANZI’s newest record “Give Us Some Time” looks at modern life. From the never-ending rat race, grind culture and the weight of depression pushing down on people around her, AMANZI reflects on how these feelings can hurt or how we can transform them into something positive by just changing our outlook. Over the rich jazz-soul soundscape comprising warm pads, rich keys and anthemic horn arrangements, AMANZI pours her heat on wax. Lines like “Work is just a filler/Doesnt mean were helpless(Give us some time)/Playing with your triggers/Days are getting thicker/Now money is your self-worth” underscore the theme while giving us hope for a better tomorrow.
“Give Us Some Time” is taken from her forthcoming debut solo project, a three-track EP set to release in April 2025.
