AG Da Coroner, the Brooklyn emcee and Outdoorsman alumn — think Action Bronson, Meyhem Lauren, Spit Gem & J-Love — is gearing up for the release of his debut LP, Sip The Nectar. Last month he hit the mark with his 1st single titled “Park Ave“, which featured Bronson and Roc Marciano.  And, today he delivers us his 2nd heater “My Truth”.

Observe as producer ATG draws the listener in with an intro filled with triumphant trumpet notes, altered guitar effects and high-pitched bells. All of the instruments meticulously arranged, seemingly in an effort to keep the audience in suspense of AG Da Coroner’s hardbody raps. Then the bells eventually fade as the soundscape morphs into a more laid back vibe. No drums on this joint as AG provides the cadence –

My truth is that I’ve always been a legend in the making. I spoke my mind when all these motherf-ckers practiced faking. I raised hell ’til I cocked my fist in front of satan. And brought glory to the heavens that our God was chasing.

According to AG, this is an album that’s 30-plus years in the making. Furthermore, regarding it as his most emotionally intimate project to date.

Of course, who am I to argue?

Sip The Nectar drops March 10th on the indie label, Man Bites Dog Records.
