Multi-talented singer/songwriter Adanna Duru kicks off 2024 with her brand new EP titled NAPPY HOUR II, which is the second instalment of her previous project of the same name. The project is a blend of R&B/pop/experimental soul sounds that showcase her range of styles as she proceeds to break out of any perceived box anyone tries to put her in. From the off-kilter “if I was a boy ;)” and “Put It Down” F/ Mannywellz  to the groovy and unapologetic “Shawty” or the sultry “Say Ah”, Adanna sure has a lot in store for listeners. Even on the guitar-driven single “The Way” where she talks about the difficulties in sustaining blossoming love due to past trauma, listeners receive a well-rounded viewpoint and get to know what makes Adanna tick.

Overall NAPPY HOUR II is an aural exploration into self-discovery and showcases Adanna’s unique style and love for different genres. She adds “I’m thrilled that I get to release songs about joy, love, and happiness,“ But more importantly, I get to release songs about a Black girl doing whatever she wants”
