Jahan Nostra and producer Samir return with the new single “Godz Building” with Killah Priest. The track continues the rapper/producer’s slew of singles from their recently released project, Two Continents. The track title sets the tone before you even hit the play button, but the proof is in the listening. The production has a soulful ambiance, with soothing vocal samples, mellow plucky hums, and punchy drums, and serves as the perfect backdrop for the insightful, graphic songwriting from the emcees. Killah Priest leads the procession with his commanding flow and layered lyricism, weaving street grit with social and historical themes. This is followed by Jahan Nostra’s reflective verse, which focuses on the power structures that affect urban systems and their inhabitants. The track is threaded by a conversational hook, reminding us of the intergenerational connection between two like minds in this modern era.
