UK singer/songwriter Madeleine Rose Witney delivers a unique take on retro/jazz/soul with a modern touch with her latest release “Shut Up & Kiss Me”. The Kentish Town-born singer captures the antinomy of love and the bits and pieces that come with being neck deep in it. The production has a lively feel and is ripe with plucky guitar licks, warm pads and sparsely arranged drum grooves underpinned by sultry melodic runs. Here, she reflects on the euphoria of being lost in the moment and the sudden wave of clarity that hits when emotions overflow and reason comes to the forefront.

“Shut Up & Kiss Me” is taken from Madeleine Rose Witney’s forthcoming debut EP, From Now On. The 4-track project boasts multi-layered instrumentation, soul-gripping vocal performances and insightful storytelling that ties each track together in a cohesive manner. The EP captures the moment where one chapter ends and another tentatively begins. With its title evoking a blend of hope, resolve, and melancholy, the EP serves as a space between who Madeleine Rose Witney was and who she’s becoming.
