Great Neck, NY lyricist AWOL Da Mindwriter embodies the spirit of the classic Sega Genesis game “Altered Beast” in his new single. Backed by the edgy and dark soundscape provided by August Fanon, AWOL proceeds to crush and decimate the opposition with hard-hitting verbal blows and an immaculate expressive flow.

The accompanying visual directed by Jack De$a blends performance shots of the rapper with elements of the actual video game, creating a nostalgic-inducing clip that lovers of the game would relate to.
