Singer/songwriter Estella Dawn continues her prolific run with this new release titled “Drunk & Messy,” a brooding dark pop ballad that explores a love craving filled with passion and pain. The self-produced track is riddled with a menacing string and piano arrangement underpinned by sparse drums, forming the perfect backdrop for Dawn’s haunting and delicate vocals. Stripping down her emotions, she delivers a raw, unfiltered performance that is powered by a yearning that is hard to rid. Lines like

And I warned you once before
Chain of teeth round my neck
My doors a little off the hinge
See I don’t care who you get with
But if you make love to her

I’ll cut the split right off the end
Tears streaming down let it cleanse
I need salt on the rim of my sin
You call me the worst
But at least you’re calling and

underpin the heartbreak and messy situation, as she finds herself drawn into the deep end, as she struggles to be seen by her lover.
