Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This is a segment where we look at some exceptional visuals from various acts around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades, through the 90s and 2000s, and it has taken flight from multi-million dollar budget music videos to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but highlight some creative visuals that pop up on our radar.

Again, we promise to bring you the best from high to low budget, to animated to DIY and first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

KE-LO – “J morant”

KE-LO opens up this week’s video playlist with “J morant,” an upbeat summer jam filled with raw bravado and stylish flows. The visual style is perofrmance based with retro visual effects.

JURAKHAN – “QUICK & DANGEROUS”

Genre-bending artist JURAKHAN caught our eyes and ears with “QUICK & DANGEROUS,” an off-kilter track that captures raw energy on wax. Over a brooding backdrop, the emcee delivers a stunning performance filled with pensive and inightful lyrics. Traversing modern violence, emotional grief and the process of spiritual awakening, JURAKHAN takes listeners on a journey deep into the dark side of an unforgiving world where nothing is promised. The accompanying visual employs dark aesthetics, mody set pieces underpinned by expressive dance choreography and a commanding performance as well. The track is taken from JURAKHAN’s forthcoming debut album, GITA.

 

 

DD – “Crawl Space”

 

Denver, CO-raised DD drops this reflective piece “Crawl Space” where he peels back his emotional layers while expressing his thoughts on the current state of affairs. Backed by a mellow and atmospheric backdrop, the rapper shares his experiences as a young man trying to find his footing and the uncertainty that comes when one is finding their true purpose in life. The visuals have a draemy, psychedelic feel bolstered by trippy visual effects that thread DD’s performance shots together.

 

 

Halfcut x Cole The God x Daniel Son x Str8 Trip – Soul Ice prod. by Cole The God”.

“Soul Ice” is the latest track from Canadian underground heavyweights Halfcut and Cole The God who team up with Daniel Son and Str8 Trip. The result is a hard-hitting lyric-dense piece that showcases raw bravado from all parties over Cole The God’s menacing soundscape. The visuals shot by Da Kid T (USOM Films) were filmed in the Canadian Rockies and compliment the song’s title with a snow covered landscape with the emcees spitting cold bars. “Soul Ice” is out now on all DSPs and is taken from their upcoming project The Relentless Two dropping everywhere 8/5/25.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CatchTwentyTwo – “I Know You’re For Me” (Prod. CatchTwentyTwo)

Indie multi-talented singer/songwriter/producer CatchTwentyTwo returns with “I Know You’re For Me.” The self-produced track has a retro disco-pop/R&B infused vibe with a modern contemporary vibe that young listeners can relate to. The artist pens a heartfelt love tune taht explores the emotional rollercoaster that comes with yearning for that special someone. The visual uses dark set pieces and long performance shots with minimal effects to truly capture CatchTwentyTwo’s unique style. This is the last single/song from his upcoming project exxxtreme disco.

 

 

 

LOWERCASE & SELF

The Canadian duo known as LOWERCASE & SELF enter our video playlist with their latest release “Staying alive.” The track has a smooth bounce and sees te duo trading bars about staying alive in these crazy times. The result is a blend of insight, lyrical proficiency and a bit of mass appeal which new listeners can gravitate towards. The visual itself is a blend of performane shots, motif-driven set pieces and elements that drive the song.

This is the third single of their LOWERSELF album, STAYING ALIVE.

 

 

 

 

Classik – “Backstage” [Music Video]”

Classik enters our playlist with “Backstage,” a reflective piece that explores self-assessment, growth and the never-ending journey to find one’s true purpose. The soundscape is sombre and moody and the visual style puts the icing on the cake with it’s sepia-tone aesthetic.

 

 

 

 

Zyah Belle x Dende – “Automatic” feat. Dende

 

Bay Area R&B singer/songwriter Zyah Belle teams up with rising Houston-raised Dende for “Automatic,” a sexy love jam that depicts the natural chemistry between two lovers. The track has elements of modern R&B with futuristic elements and is underpinned by Belle’s sulrty and commanding vocal runs which is complimented by Dende’s lilting melodiesand together they deliver a classic tune for all the lovers out there. The visual style focuses on Belle’s commanding presence as she struts across the inviting set pieces with raw confidence and poise.

“Automatic” is the latest single from Zyah Belle’s forthcoming EP, due later this year via Third & Hayden Recordings. The project follows her acclaimed LP Yam Grier and recent singles that have amassed millions of streams and positioned her at the forefront of alternative R&B.
