Emerging British-Palestinian rap artist/songwriter Yung Yusuf and producer Wilfred team up for the new single “Blood.” The conceptual track takes place from the viewpoint of a young man in Gaza, traversing bullet-ridden walls, blood-stained untarred roads and the emotional turmoil of dealing with immeasurable loss. Over the soulful vocal sample chops, cinematic organs and hushed grooves, Yung Yusuf takes audiences deep into the war-torn city of Gaza with lines like

We huddle in in zones they said we’re safe
Till they choose to detonate
Then we flee to other places
Teardrops fall from Mothers faces
Cos their kids were taken

This underscores the perspective of many who are unseen and unheard in the ongoing war in Palestine.
