Rap duo Cold Camp and proflitic producer The Dirty Sample for the new collaboration”Snow Kings.” The track has a dark and moody texture and fits the ice-inspired bars from the emcees. The bars are led by Bully Bravo and Chaka Boy who drop below zero rhyme schemes that leaves unsuspecting foes petrified.

Showrocka and Cambatta embody the spirit of the super lyrical being on this new collaboration titled “Area 51.” The track is built on a gripping piano loop laced over a solid drum groove and sees both emcees in their element.

Nottingham singer-songwriter Ady Suleiman is currently working on his new album, Chasing but in the interim, he return with his new single “What If.” The mid-tempo R&B/hiphop infused track explores the effects of self-doubt and inner conflict and sees Suleiman working through his menatal health struggles.

 

 

 

Louis Davis, Jr. – “NEVER GAVE UP”

Louis Davis, Jr. connects with Pay Stubb for “NEVER GAVE UP,” an aspirational track that aims to  give listeners something to adhere to in this cold world.

KIN – “FALLEN LEAVES”.

Canadian multi-faceted artist KIN embody the cold season with “FALLEN LEAVES,” a heartfelt piece that explores change, emotional turmoil and the aftermath.

 

Quantacious – “4 Mindz Only”.

Quantacious delivers “4 Mindz Only,” a rousing and hard-hitting piece that is underpinned by unfiltered bars and a hard-hitting soundscape.

Hefty Lefty & YungFace – “Make A Scene”

Hefty Lefty & YungFace team up to “Make A Scene” in their new release. As the title suggests, it’s about break through the door and making a mark in the game which they do with their distinct flows and vivid lyricism.

 

Da Grimm One – “Expression Of Da Mind”.

 

Da Grimm One brings back the classic 90s rap in his new release “Expression Of Da Mind.” The track has a punchy boombap vibe reminsicent of the Bomb Sqaud while his stylish flows and expressive candence takes precedence.

 

AZTHMA – “Neural Net” (feat. DJ Abilities)

Milwaukee-based duo AZTHMA enters this week’s playlist with “Neural Net” (feat. DJ Abilities). The duo is made up of Slang Troubadour and FHOBOS, and the result is a genre-bending piece that explores raw expression, off-kilter thoughts and an edgy rock inspired chorus. AZTHMA recently released Earborne, their five-track debut EP.

 

Dylan Owen x Blueprint – “Indie 500”

Dylan Owen connects with the lyrical OG Blueprint for “Indie 500,” an experimenatl hiphop track that blends bluesy/jazz vibes with solid boombap elements. here, both emcees deliver engaging performances ripe with off-beat lyricism and wordplay that references indy car races and their verbal proficiencies. This is the final single from Dylan Owen’s DO GOOD MIXTAPE.

 

Glane x – “Numb”

Glane x drops another insightful and thought-provoking gem in form of his new single “Numb.” The track is cinematic and made up of rich Gospel vocal samples and punchy drums while Glane X shares his thoughts on life.

 

ActivateBPM – “Firewood”

Santa Cruz, CA-based rapper/producer ActivateBPM lights up the “Firewood” in their new single. The self-produced track has an ominous vibe with it’s moody keys and sturdy drums and expressive lyrical style.

 

 

Kaysey Strong – “I Got Love”

Rising emcee Kaysey Strong takes time to give thanks in “I Got Love.” The track has a mellow and solemn vibe and sees the rapper paying homage to the culture and the peers that stll hold it down.

 

 

Que K – “B4 I Wake”

 

Que K drops off “B4 I Wake,” a well-crafted insightful track about the never ending grind.

 

Chunk & Data – “ADVENTURES OF PENFOLD”.

New Zealand duo Chunk & Data enter this week’s playlist with “ADVENTURES OF PENFOLD,” a hard-hitting piece that blends raw lyricism with modern electronic infused backdrops.

 

 

Boj x Obongjayar – “Imposter Syndrome”

 

Nigerian artists Boj and Obongjayar team up to share their thoughts on “Imposter Syndrome.” The Genio-produced track is a modern experimental afrobeats piece comprising Jersey club type drums, soothing textures that lean towards afropop infused territory while showcasing the duo’s eclectic styles. Obongjayar leads the charge with his distinct vocals followed by Boj’s laidback confident drawl that signifies the next phase of the artist. Boj is not the one to be stuck in a box and he makes his point on the track with unbridled confidence and poise. The track is taken from Boj’s sixth album, Duplicity.

 

Bub Rock – “Piece Full”

Strong island lyrical maestro Bub Rock enters our playlist with “Piece Full,” a raw lyrical display that is ripe with vviid imagery and wordplay. Over a soulful backdrop comprising warm chords, vocal samples and a sturdy drum groove, Bub Rock takes us into his world and the ups and downs that come with it. The track is produced by his longtime collaborator Backpack Beatz. The trck is taken from Bub Rock’s next LP

 

Novel Heyoka – “The Dark Truth”

 

Novel Heyoka connects with singer/songwriter N.I.A to share the “The Dark Truth,” a thought-provoking track that exposes the underhanded policies of the giovernemnt, Big Pharma and the power of social indoctrination amongst other real time issues affecting the masses. The single is the title track for Novel heyoka’s album of the same name.

 

Vic Da Baron – “Standing Ovation”

“Standing Ovation” is the right way to end this week’s playlist and it comes courtesy of emerging rapper Vic Da Baron. The anthemic track comprises soulful keys, rousing vocal samples and punchy drums underpined by insightful bars that explore the journey of a man chasing his dreams and making the right sacrifices.
