Over a solemn vocal sample-driven backdrop, he takes listeners through the hard times of feeling powerless but his resilient spirit and prayer kept him going. far from being a sob story, the track is more of an anthem of strength and also to bring more awareness around the disorder.

 

 

ADVICE – “Michelin” (feat. iam2000)

 

BX raised emcee ADVICE and iam2000 teamed up for “Michelin,” a reflective track that dives into self-expression through lyrics and how the listeners can interpret it in different ways. Over a solemn soulful sample, ADVICE shares his life story and experiences on wax.

 

 

Peach Talk – “Hung Up”.

 

Malta/London-based neo-soul band Peach Talk (made up of Zack Walters, S-ilo, and Ella Pucci.) brings a refreshing and eclectic take to the genre with their brand of socially conscious and insightful style. Their latest release is “Hung Up,” a rich and dynamic piece that blends modern Neo soul with jazz and lofi hip-hop elements. The production is layered and dynamic and the fusion of soul-stirring melodies and thought-provoking raps makes it engaging from start to finish. The track is the second single from the band’s forthcoming album.

Indie rapper Don Drew enters our playlist with “#spiral,” where he showcases his lyrical dexterity with a commanding flow over a cinematic soundscape.

 

 

Q Sound x Masia One – “USM”.

Q Sound and Masia One deliver this brilliant soulful piece titled “USM.” The title is an acronym for Universe, Spirit and Mind and is anchored on feel-good thoughts, self-appreciation, discovery and the power of being in one’s true spirit at every moment. The track is taken from The Chronicles of Lawrence Wright.

They Don’t Know” is the latest release from rapper/producer duo Ken-C and Kidd Called Quest and it’s a continuation of their tribute tracks to hip-hop legends who paved the way. Over Kidd’s rousing drums and cinematic sample chops, Ken-C employs the same choppy flow DMX used on the classic song and revamps it to fit the modern times.

 

Mikoo – “Premier regard” featuring Miss Boké

Hungarian producer Mikoo enters our playlist with “Premier regard” featuring Paris-based singer/songwriter Miss Boké. The production is a blend of lofi-soul with R&B and hip-hop groove underpinned by rich melodic runs and heartfelt lyrics sung in the language of love.

 

Sargeant X Comrade – “Old Familiar Feelin'”
