Tabz SOS and Sayzee blends the old and new in “DEATH IN 64,” a lyric-dense piece that is brimming with edgy, off-kilter raps and the classic N64 reference. The beat is dark and gritty, but the icing on the cake includes the emcees.

DJ BLKLUOS connects with K-Prez for “WHOLE INTENT,” a hard-hitting track ripe with smooth vocal samples, rousing drums and excellent verses.
NappyHigh x ScienZe x Mick Jenkins – “Magic” (feat. Mick Jenkins)
NappyHigh connects with Brooklyn emcee ScienZe and Chi-town lyricist Mick Jenkins, teaming up for “Magic,” and the result lives up to expectations. Bolstered by a head nodding soundscape ripe with scenic sample chops and punchy grooves, each emcee delivers nothing less than stellar performances.
Taylor Williams – “Dreaming”.
Singer/songwriter Taylor Williams caught our ears with his latest single “Dreaming.” The retro-fitted single taps into the Motown soul era with a modern twist. From the rich live instrumentation, dynamic vocal arrangement and rich songwriting, Taylor Williams hit the bullseye on this one.
Taylor Williams is a former member of North Carolina collective Black Haus a garage-funk alt-rap two-vocalist quintet from North Carolina. Williams carries the band’s adventurous spirit with him while reaching back into a soul catalogue that speaks to his current path. “I wanted to put something out into the world that has that 70s feel…beautiful harmonies like Minnie Riperton, Isaac Hayes, and Marvin [Gaye],” says Williams.
Echezona x JPRiZM – “Truthfully”.
JPRiZM (real name Jared Price) and Echezona deliver this catchy afrobeats/R&B track “Truthfully” to our playlist. It’s an interesting cut that is highly melodic, memorable and groovy as well.
Dylan Naber – “Say Some” (feat. Kail Problems)
Los Angeles, California artist Dylan Naber steps to the forefront with “Say Some.” Over an urgent soundscape comprising moody basslines and snapping drums, the emcee sends shorts to the detractors and fairweather friends who try to step in his way. He is joined by Kail Problems, who adds a solid verse at the end of the song.
MYKA – “the pike”.
MYKA‘s “the pike” is a bouncy experimental funk-hiphop infused track that showcases his versatility and nonconformist style.
Ace Kang – “LIU (Soul Therapy)”.
Ace Kang‘s “LIU (Soul Therapy)” is a laidback reflective tune that is anchored on vivid story telling, smooth flows and a well-crafted soulful soundscape.
Bagboy Blu – “Chosen”
Bagboy Blu returns to our site with “Chosen,” a reflective piece that explores loss, the never-ending trials and tribulations and daily pressures young black men face as they try to stay afloat in this cesspool called life.
DMENTID – “Gotta Go” (feat. Rob Finesse)
DMENTID unveils new single “Gotta Go” featuring Rob Finesse, and the result is an anthemic motivation tune that talks about growth and self-discovery in every sense of the word. The mantra here is never stop and keep moving.
Wallis – “Heroine II”.
Wallis , the singer/songwriter from Barrow-In-Furness in the North West of England, is not new to us, and it’s pleasant to have her new track “Heroine II.” The track is a sequel to the song of the same name from her debut 2024 album and is a modern R&B/soul piece ripe with heartfelt songwriting, and soul-stirring vocal runs that rise to a plateau on the chorus.
Romy Dya – “Cargo”.
Romy Dya proceeds with caution in her new single “Cargo.” The heartfelt R&B/soul ballad explores the emotional rollercoaster that comes with accepting love after a series of heartbreaks. Romy delivers a brilliant vocal performance brimming with earworm melodies and candid songwriting.
Ben Anansi – “Diamonds Dancing”.
Rising Afrobeats artist Ben Anansi enters our playlist with “Diamonds Dancing,” a mid-tempo club-ready jam. The T.U.C-produced track blends amapiano grooves with warm afrobeats elements a nd is anchored on Ben Anasi’s Friday night experiences.
Jordan Astra – “Honey”.
Jordan Astra drops “Honey,” the lead single from his forthcoming album and helps set the tone with it’s future pop/soul-infused sound. Astra pours his heart on wax and delivers another responding performance that tugs at the heart.
Anthony OKS – “Warning Signs”
Toronto-via-Winnipeg emcee Anthony OKS drops new single “Warning Signs” featuring vocalist Marisolle Negash. The experimental soul/hiphop-infused piece is brimming with atmospheric textures, dynamic arrangement that includes airy vocal runs and of course insightful bars from the emcee himself. “Warning Signs” is taken from his debut full-length solo album, Make Way — a document of self, an accounting of life right now, a portrait of Blackness in Canada in 2025.
Burn Herm – “Soul Music”.
Burn Herm drops off “Soul Music,” a reflective track that samples a classic soul song and the result is raw, unfiltered bars about taking losses, accepting the truth and making a way out of nothing.
Bowza – “Loyal to the streets”
Bowza makes his debut on our site with “Loyal to the streets,” a heartfelt and gritty piece that details the not-so-rosy tales from the streets. Armed with his expressive and laidback flow, Bowza shares profound tales of despair, paranoia, success and the never-ending struggles of surviving the mean streets.
Chrissy Spratt – “In Too Deep”
Chrissy Spratt delivers an afrobeats/R&B infused track titled “In Too Deep.” Over a hypnotic drum groove and ethereal pads, Spratt explores regret after tasting temptation ,and when the moment of clarity sets in, she takes steps in making amends.
Cam Be x Neak x Skyzoo – “EyeWonder”.
Cam Be and Neak continue their streak of releases with the latest being the Skyzoo-assisted “EyeWonder.” Backed by a gritty and punchy boombap backdrop, the emcees deliver vivid raps that take listeners back to the golden age of hip-hop.
“EyeWonder” sets the tone for the upcoming album A Film Called Black. For listeners who want their beats dusty and their bars deliberate.
Allen Green – “She Gimme That”.
Allen Green connects with Chicago’s own Ramaj Eroc for “She Gimme That,” an upbeat and bouncy tune that is ripe with solid rap verses. The beat is quite soulful too, and Ramaj Eroc came out swinging like no man’s business.
