Luvall – “Ocean”

Luvall caught our ears with his latest release “Ocean,” a modern future R&B/soul track that dives into the euphoria that comes with finding that true love. Over atmopsheric textures, plucky guitar strings and bass-heavy drums, Luvall delivers a heartfelt performance ripe with raw emotions and vulnerability.

 

Cleo Black x Hak Black – “Killshot”

UK singer/songwriter Cleo Black and Hak Black team up for “Killshot.” The track is a modern R&B/hip-hop infused tune that explores a situaionship that is going nowhere.

 

 

Vent – “I Need”

 

Emerging rapper Vent steps into the forefornt with this heartfelt track “I Need.” Over a sombre and soulful backdorp briming with solemn, cinematic strings and vocal chops, he takes listeners on an emotional journey. From his not so glorious upbringing to the lessons learned from having positive role models around him to venturing out on his own to discover the world, Vent gives listeners a glimpse into his life.

 

Maya Unagi – “Fool’s Gold”

Bay Area-based singer/producer Maya Unagi  unveils her new track “Fool’s Gold” and debut EP Pieces. The track is a soul-stirring love ballad that explores layered emotions and the euphoria that comes with love. The production is bright, alluring and brims with lush keys, soft grooves underpinned by Unagi’s velvety vocals. The self-composed/produced EP features an impressive roster of collaborators, including: Itai Shapira (Beyoncé, Tyler the Creator, Q, Jean Dawson), Bubby Lewis (Jhene Aiko, Snoop Dogg, Stevie Wonder), Aaron Liao (Raveena, Moses Sumney, Daniel Caesar), and Sara Kawai (Miley Cyrus, Ravyn Lenae, Amaria).

 

 

Jack Tatum x YGTUT – “Picasso”

Nashville-based artists Jack Tatum and YGTUT paint a beautiful picture like “Picasso” on their new collaboration. Backed by a punchy soundscape comprising bass-heavy trap drums, circus-inspired keys and playful,vocal chops, the rapper deliver a fiery rap verse threaded by a smooth melodic performance.

 

Cruzz – “Lost it all”

 

Indie artist Cruzz returns to our playlist with “Lost it all” being his latest output. The track has a Jersey club drum bounce and brooding textures with dark keys and picthed up vocal samples to match. On the lyrical tip, he pens a heartfelt tale about betrayal, price of friendship and the pain that comes with losing everything he loved.

Mr. Severe x Anthony Bailey – “Can You Wait for Me”

Mr. Severe and producer Anthony Bailey team up for “Can You Wait for Me,” a smooth R&B/hip-hop infused track that explores blossoming love and the never-ending pursuit of true happiness. The production by Anthony Bailey is soulful and has a bit of nostalgia while Mr. Severe’s wholesome lyrics are highly relatable.
