Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This is a segment where we look at some exceptional visuals from various acts around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades, through the 90s and 2000s, and it has taken flight from multi-million dollar budget music videos to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but highlight some creative visuals that pop up on our radar.
Again, we promise to bring you the best from high to low budget, to animated to DIY and first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

JENKINS AVE – “SHINE”
Indie San Jose-based rapper JENKINS AVE returns with “SHINE,” a short soulful piece that explores growth and maturity. It’s a long verse laced over a smooth and nostalgia-inducing backdrop. The visual style is cinematic and uses some eye popping sepcial effects that takes viewrs into his thought process.
khi – star ignite”
Indie rapper khi looks within in his new single “star ignite”which dives into growth and the never-ending journey of life. Armed with his expressive and laidback flow and candid songwriting, he gives listeners a glimpse into his life. The visual is performnace based and captures the rapper in his element.
KING CANGIN – “Prizefight”
KING CANGIN is the big dog in the “Prizefight” and for sure hrhebrings out the raw edgy element on the track. Over an anthemic horn-driven soundscape, KING CANGIN proceeds to drop no-holds-barred lines with his usual devil-may-care demeanour leaving listeners in shock and awe. The visual sees the rapper defending his title in the ring against an opponent who has no idea what is coming at him. The track is the opening song to his forthcoming album, Brooklyn Buddha.
Jae Anthonie – “Live From Del Amo Freestyle”
Jae Anthonie returns with a new release “Live From Del Amo Freestyle” which sees him in his element a she effortlessly flows over a plucky cinematic backdrop. The title is a referecne to his neighborhood Del Amo Carson California, where the visual was shot.
Hot Mustard – “Melt the Wind”
Hardworking and prolific production team Hot Mustard unveil the visuals for their song “Melt the Wind.” The track is the final leak from their third album and is a genre-bending piece that brims with layered keys, pulsating bass-driven drum grooves, lush guitar licks and triumphant horn passes. The music video by Powell continues the surrealism aesthetic they are known for but this time he uses paintings of local muralist Kate Barattini and the result is a trippy and somewhat psychedelic clip.
ML & Giggs – “Own Motion” (Remix by Giggs)
Rising London rapper ML and UK rap OG Giggs team up for the remix of “Own Motion.” The son and father collaboration bridges the gap between the generations and showcase the chemistry between the two. Over Josh Roach ‘s mid-tempo mody backdrop, the duo deliver some insight into their respective motion in this music industry.
DAlcon – “Keep Going”
Emerging London-rapper DAlcon dives into the delicate topic of mental health in “Keep Going.” The aspirational tune reminds everyone going through trials and tribulations to never give up and keep pushin on. The production blends pop and alternative elements and sees the rapper exploring he concept of healing through nature. The visual uses performance shots of the rapper alongside clips of individuals living their lives striving to be better.
