Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This is a segment where we look at some exceptional visuals from various acts around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades, through the 90s and 2000s, and it has taken flight from multi-million dollar budget music videos to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but highlight some creative visuals that pop up on our radar.
Again, we promise to bring you the best from high to low budget, to animated to DIY and first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

Tilden Parc ‘s new release “What It’s Like” showcases his refreshing take on modern R&B/hip-hop fusion. Backed by punchy Bay Area bouncy drums, lush textures and chords, Parc flows effortlessly with his unique melodic flow and heartfelt songwriting laced with his natural charisma. The visualizer focuses on his laidback poise and uses lots of performance shots with different angles to accentuate his style.
BREIS- “Perfect Night”
BREIS‘s recent single “Perfect Night” gets the perfect visual treatment in the form of this brilliant animated clip. As the song goes, it follows a young BREIS getting caught up in a love triangle that started out as a perfect night.
Ras Kass – “SCAR TISSUE” ft. Treach (Naughty By Nature) x Wais P
Legendary Westcoast emcee Ras Kass delivers this hard-hitting single “SCAR TISSUE” to kick off the new month. Bolstered by the crunchy drum break driven backdrop courtesy of Amadeus360, Ras Kass recruits Treach (Naughty By Nature) and Wais P (formerly of Da Ranjahz) and together they unleash raw lyrical venom on the track. The result is a grimy, no-holds-barred cut showcasing their unique styles ranging from Ras Kass’s off-center flow to Treach’s no-nonsense lyrical imagery and Wais P’s street poetry in motion. The visuals are directed by Mo Stafford , who sets the pieces for each emcee to shine and also brings in some legendary figures like Ralph McDaniels, founder and curator of the Video Music Box, Greg Nice of Nice & Smooth, King Sun among others
The Last Maven x MICKEY FACTZ – “Unusual” (ft. Rhea the Second)
The Last Maven and MICKEY FACTZ team up for this reflective track entitled “Unusual” featuring Rhea the Second. Backed by a dreamy and sublime chord-driven backdrop with punchy drums, the emcees paint pictures of growth, self-belief and manisfestation of one’s success as they step into their true being. The visual style is scenic and uses a blend of performance shots of the emcees punctuated by subtle but engaging special effects that drives the story from scene to scene.
EDecoded – “Still call it home”
US-based Nigerian artist EDecoded enters our visual playlist with “Still call it home.” The reflective track explores his past in Nigeria and how life was over there. From lack of infrastructure, economic downturn and never ending struggle,but people still find a way to smile through the doldrums. The visual seems to be self-directed and follows the rapper as he walks through the park detailing his story.
Ady Suleiman – “Brother”
Nottingham singer-songwriter Ady Suleiman is back with his new single/video “Brother,” a heartfelt and insightful track about the power of brotherhood, community and loss. Inspired by the story of the late Stephen Lawrence, Ady Suleiman reframes it in modern lens using parallels of recent social outburts across the state. Backed by a solemn and warm backdrop, Suleiman digs deep and delivers a touching tale that is both thought-provoking and uplifting. The visuals shot in Zanzibar, captures the feeling of community and brotherhood.
