Emerging NY artist Raydeo caught our attention with his new release “Plus Ultra”, a motivational tune that aims to get listeners in gear to push forward. Inspired by the motivational phrase from the character Deku in “My Hero Academia,” Raydeo embodies the same spirit as the young hero whose indomitable spirit pushes him to be the best superhero he can be. The track is produced by 4most, who uses cinematic pads and moody strings against mellow drum grooves, while Raydeo delivers a laidback performance with lines like

Bitch made beta fool
Trix are for kids, I fear no man
I don’t roll over my spirit transcends
I give all ten and stand on ten
God’s my witness this no pretend
Still I am

This underpins the go-getter and never-say-die attitude intended to propel one into success.

Raydeo is currently working on his full-length project, GROWTH, set to release this summer.
