‘Melbourne rapper/producer Palien and rapper Tommy Moom$ recently put out a collaborative project VERCETTI, and now follow through with the single “5:50 (Ten to Six).” The rack is a smooth piece that blends lo-fi soul with a West Coast bounce underpinned by Moom$’s laidback and unassuming flow. Here, the rappers talk about the tough process that is required for healing and leaving the past, but lack the temerity to follow through. Both emcees take a different perspective, with Palien jumping into the dark side of things while Moom$ sticks to an introspective edge to keep the balance.
VERCETTI is the debut collaborative album between Palien and Tommy Moom$. Produced entirely by Palien on an SP-404 and EP-1320, the duo tap into their inspiration of GTA: Vice City, where neon sunsets and late nights set the stage while two people fight over the controls.
