“On top of that, is no Christmas/ No Santa Claus and no wishlist

So this one’s for my district, F the politicians and system”

Nes Wordz, an emcee who holds it down for Ohio, wastes little time with stating his business on his latest project Stupid Genius. Armed with a solid commanding voice, he doesn’t shy away from presenting the facts no matter how bitter they taste. On the project he paints several moods over engaging soundscapes, touching on several subjects while keeping a light mood at some points.

I’m a fan of the latest crop of Ohio talents featured on this project and this being the first body of work I have heard form the man, I have to give him props. Yes, 19 tracks is a bit of a stretch (ok maybe for me at least), but damn the cohesiveness of the songs makes this totally enjoyable.

Keeping it one hunnid is a term I hardly use but for this rare occasion, it’s worth it.

Nes Wordz is regarded as one of Ohio’s most talented and respected artists. He makes his debut on Exec Gang Music with the highly anticipated album, Stupid Genius, which features production from Billionaire BoyScout (French Montana, Gucci Mane), SupaNatra (Safaree, French Montana, Willie The Kid)and Tha Audio Unit (Smoke DZA, Jeremih, MGK). After premiering his single, Holy Ghost, on Radio One’s Power 107.5 for the past two weeks, Stupid Genius is now available on iTunes, Google Play, Beats Music, Pandora and Spotify.

Stupid Genius is a journey through the mind of Nes Wordz who says that he’s the, “smartest, dumbest person you know.” The deluxe 19 track album displays his triumphs with songs like Winner and as well as his shortcomings with Faded Glory, and They Gone Love Me.  The album certainly provides treats with Get It Gone, and Whole Thing, as well as with How It Feels that brings you back to 1985. Lastly,
Stupid Genius features verses from Ohio’s own Darrio Pope, SupaNatra and Dominique Larue.
