It’s been months since Oscar O’Malley has been building up to this release. He dropped a couple of singles and videos (Check Here) but didn’t state what project he was prepping till he dropped a freestyle over Raekwon’s Verbal Intercourse and even then it was unclear what exactly he was hinting at till now. An ep with, wait for it, a weird ass title ‘Orange Starburst Baboon An Da First Offense Vol. 1‘. A mouthful,no? Well don’t let the title fool you. This is most likely a prelude to what this cat is capable of.

Orange Starburst Baboon An Da First Offense Vol. 1 is basically a 5 track project where Oscar flows over classic instrumentals like ‘Brooklyn Zoo’, ‘Quiet Storm’ et al. He does so with finesse and ease. Armed with a distinctive voice and left field lyricism, Oscar easily proves that he is a one man army(there is a guess rap on the last track) and even though the project is short he manages to pack a punch from start to finish.

If you are the type for cerebral lyricism, off kilter flow and totally left field rap. Oscar O’Malley’s ‘Orange Starburst Baboon An Da First Offense Vol. 1′ will suffice.
