Fienyx whose real name is J. C. Hall, is a Hip-Hop artist recently featured in UPROXX as some of the best new rap to have on your radar. He is also the founding Hip-Hop Therapy Studio Program Director at a “second chance” high school in the South Bronx. The origin of the studio was recently chronicled in the award-winning short documentary ‘Mott Haven’, which garnered a handful of Best Short Documentary awards at renowned film festivals across the country.

‘Like In the Movies’ is an approved flip of indie-pop artist Vlad Holiday’s original of the same name and it is a dystopian love story set in NYC’s current state of quarantine. The flip of the indie-pop song is a genius move as it gives a fresh perspective and will give Fienyx a unique edge separate from the lane most artists are quickly falling into. Hit his Spotify to stream the song and you can definitely chat with Fienyx on Facebook and Instagram.
