A dope track from the upcoming Georgia Anne Muldrow & Madlib album:
The song, as with the rest of the album, is hinged upon Madlib’s room-warming low end and well-placed samples – “Kneecap Jelly” opens with a bending bass lane and wonderfully simple guitar riff – instrumentation that leaves plenty of room for Georgia’s powerful vocals, as she sings on the chorus, “I am one/ And I am for directions on this wheel of life/ It is wise to honor all of god’s children/ On this wheel we ride.”
A real soulful track this and I can’t wait to check out the whole thing. Released on Muldrow’s label ‘Some Otha Ship’.
