I can’t remember being so excited for an album, but Flying Lotus’ Until The Quiet Comes is almost here (I got it coming on wax!). I think that to avoid the leak of the album spreading his label decided to put it out there in full, which is a shame, and in a way I wish I could have resisted, but this album needs to be heard. As we enter a post-Hip Hop era, Flying Lotus’ blend of Hip-Hop, Soul, Jazz and Electronica have no doubt pioneered the movement, but his efforts have in the past been very left field and experimental which has always left something wanting; however, this is his most refined record yet – and not all of these tracks are new either, I recognise about four of them from previous unreleased material and mixes. So stream it after the jump…
