As you guys may have heard, House Shoes ran a contest to flip some Jay Dee, and after two weeks of consideration, broken necks and voting, Word Is Bond favourite Tall Black Guy – another Detroit man – wins the public vote with Shash’U taking House Shoe’s personal thumbs up. Both flips were dope and distinct, and this whole contest has been a great display of the wonders and achievements of sampling and creativity in hip-hop.
