Where do I even begin with this song–the early ’00s type instrumental or the strange collaboration between this seemingly mismatched emcees? Nevertheless, Kosha Dillz proves that taking bold chances does sometimes work out for the best.  I’m very familiar with Murs but the inclusion of Gangsta Boo triggered my Spidey senses (yeah, I do possess said ability). Musically, the beat thumps–it’s not really my thing but it sure works in this instant with each emcee offering a different perspective and style.

Gangsta Boo definitely hasn’t lost her bite. Tune in and get with the program.

The ubiquitous Kosha Dillz has perhaps one of the most diverse groups of ‘rapper friends’ in the history of the genre. To prove this point, the bi-coastal emcee recruits both Gangsta Boo and Murs for the debut leak “Where My Homies Be” off his sophomore solo album Awkward In A Good Way, set to drop November 5th via Murs 3:16. Produced by Belief, who has composed tracks for the likes of Ghostface Killah, El-P, Talib Kweli, Action Bronson, Kelly Clarkson, Murs and Jean Grae, “Where My Homies Be” packs more bounce to the ounce than Zapp & Roger. Stay tuned for the visuals to drop at an internet near you.
