Skyzoo & Antman Wonder To Present ‘An Ode To Reasonable Doubt’ Tomorrow!
Sometime tomorrow, Skyzoo & Antman Wonder will be releasing a conceptual album called An Ode To Reasonable Doubt (AOTRD). This album will be paying homage to JAY Z’s debut project, but more specifically– to honor the current King Of New York (as tomorrow is JAY Z’s birthday).
The album will have nine tracks, and will be available as a ‘pay what you want’ release. The idea behind this album was birthed because of the fans, and also was inspired by Elzhi’s release of his 2011 ode to Nas — Elmatic. You can purchase the project through Loyalty Digital Corp.
Red Bull Music Academy: Sounds Like… Tim Exile (episode 3)
I know I haven’t been up on updating on time with this series, but better late than never, right? Anyhow, here’s another Red Bull Music Academy exclusive about UK producer Tim Exile, who finds himself making music with just about any sound he can find. From using sounds from a steam train to burning fires, Tim Exile ends up linking up with singer/songwriter Imogen Heap and start experimenting with sounds in a studio. Check it out.
Eminem Pays Homage To Hiphop Legends in ‘Rap God’ (video)
Despite getting criticism for this song, Eminem pays homage to the legendary eighties AI (artificial intelligence) - Max Headroom. If you caught the line ‘They say I rap like a robot, so call me rapbot’, then you caught what was the main influence in this video. The video is brilliant, because out of all things he could’ve portrayed or paid homage to, he chose the one fictional character that mirrors him in various ‘technical’ aspects!
If you pay close attention, you can see Em paying homage to hiphop history in this video…

Tru Comers – Alcohol (Switzerland)
Here’s a little teaser for something coming on Variation Music next year. Tru Comers are a classic Swiss producer/DJ duo – I got a nice mixtape they did for Crates of AG - who have been releasing stuff together since ’09, and they always come in with that raw underground shxx! Definitely peep this if you are a fan of that NY ’90s stuff, or just a hip-hop fan in general, and look forward to the full album coming soon.
This version of ’Alcohol’ is unmastered.
