Word Is Bond Merch Store NOW OPEN!!
Morning ya'll...(depending on what part of the world you live in)
As promised today marks, the day that the Word Is Bond store "opens its doors". This is highly exciting times for us, as it is our first time, selling Word Is Bond material. We've been working on these for about 9 months now...getting the designs right and finding the right suppliers.
There's three different t-shirt designs available at the moment.
Word Is KONG: Our statement making t-shirt "Breaking Away From Mainstream Music"
Chained and Locked: Word is Bond in west coast lettering.
Thin & Sleek WIB: Minimalistic design, featuring our WIB logo.
The t-shirts are individually silk screened by hand, printed on PREMIUM heavyweight 100% cotton t-shirts...and packaged and shipped in a very professional manner. They are available in Black, Dark Grey (Graphite) and Dark Red (Burgundy) and are limited to 100 per design. Once it's gone it's gone. All the money collected will be used to help us with the upkeep of Word Is Bond and also making it a better experience for everyone.

NEWS: Word Is Bond Merch – Store Will Open Monday 28th
Peace ya'll...
For months now, we've been working behind closed doors on WIB merch. We figured it's the best way for people to show love for what we doing whilst at the same time supporting the up keeping of the website, which is much needed at this point as the costs are raising rapidly.
With this being said,we understand, that if you going to buy new clothing, not only does it need to be stylish but needs to be of the highest quality. And this is where we've spend the most time, finding the right designs, the right material and the right printing house...we have approached this, from the stand point of "If I was a first time reader would I be interested?!"...and we believe we've cracked it.
We are almost ready, just finilizing the store and pricing. We will open on the 28th of November, (next monday)...the merch released will be limited edition. You will know more details on the day of release...but make sure you keep an eye out so you don't miss out.
Please spread the word about this, as far and wide as possible. We need everyone's support on this new venture. So please feel free to Tweet, Retweet, Facebook Like, Post or Re-Like...your help will be greatly appreciated.
The whole team is really excited and mad proud, and we can wait to show you all, what we have in store.

UPDATE: Please Welcome Our New Editors
Peace everyone...it's been a minute since I've done an update, sorry about that. Life has been getting in the way for the past couple of months. But now I am back full speed and ready to take things to a new level. As we do.
So, we've had a few additions to the team over the past 4 months, and since I haven't introduced anyone, I'll do it all togehther now. It might sound like we adding a lot of people, but bare in mind that unfotunately we've lost a few good people as well. We are very selective when it comes to choosing people to join the WIB fam, the taste in music and work ethic all count massively. So we proudly announce 4 new members to the team.
So first, please welcome With...our news editor. With, AKA Sean is in charge of our Daily News, I am sure you guys picked up on the new category, and Sean has been doing a great work at finding the best news the web has to offer, Hip Hop related and has been sharing it with you pretty much on a daily basis.
Also joining us is Mrs 9Th Wonder.... Mrs 9th wonder has a very popular YouTube channel and she has great taste in music. Being Canadian she has been sharing a lot of Canadian goodness for the past couple of months, and there's much more to come as we go along. Canada has a lot of talent worth spreading and we want to be in the forefront of it.
DJ A UP is joining from Manchester city - UK, a very dope DJ, great party host and blogger aficionado...it goes without saying that A Up will deliver on the regular the best the underground has to offer.
Last but definately not least, please welcome Akkee AKA Akiko...from Japan. Akkee, is the founder and editor in chief of Japanese popular blog Yappari Hip Hop she has been doing an amazing job, at sharing news over there, and we've maintained contact since WIB's early days. To our delight she has accepted to join the team and sharing the best of the best from Japan, on a weekly basis. We know that we have a strong Japanese following, and it was about time we added someone living and breathing that creative Japanese air, to share with ya'll what's new first hand.
To close I must remind everyone that, the 26th of this month marks our 2nd Anniversary, we are preparing something special for ya'll...keep it locked for more.

NEWS/UPDATE: Word Is Bond Joins Forces with Neosonic Records to Release “Net-Works” Album
We have been waiting to share this info with you for a long time and today we finally got the go ahead to bring the great news:
Coming in 2011 is K-Murdocks brand new album "Net-Works", in conjunction with the Word Is Bond.Com. When we first came into contact with K, little did we know it would form a partnership to create an entire album. The internet has allowed us to come together in the name of good music, breaking down the limits of borders and time zones. From the U.S. to the U.K. and beyond, we have reached out to some of the biggest names from the World of underground hip-hop. Exploring ideas which would have been otherwise impossible, this is artist interaction on the next level.
Just like the concept of "Versus", the vision for over-sea's collaborations lead us on a journey which reaped great rewards. This project brings to fruition Months of hard work with the goal of creating a true piece of art, inspired by a shared love for hip-hop. In the coming months, you can expect a progressive and foreward thinking album. Showcasing the talents of it's producer K-Murdock, "Net-Works" will deliver an impressive and soon to be announced list of emcees, all brought to you by the Word Is Bond.Com. We hope you'll enjoy the results as much as we've enjoyed putting these great artists together.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Word Is Bond Will Be Attending, Rock The Bells Tonight!
Peace everyone, just a quick post to let everyone know that for the first time, we will be present at Rock The Bells tonight.
Our events editor Eric Soul...will be covering it, and he will be both backstage and down with the fans. We shall bring you as much coverage and interviews as possible from the event. It's our first time, so we will also be learning the ropes on how to work the venue. So bare with us.

WANTED: WIB Looking For A News Editor
At WIB we truly believe in giving our readers not only the best underground music around but also the best and most relevant news when it comes to this beautiful art form.
As such we have been trying to blend music with news and arts as much as we can, but of course, as we get bigger, we've ended up focusing more in delivering music and letting your guys down with news. As a result we had a discussion behind closed doors and are now actively looking for a News Editor to join us. And this is a BIG one for us.
The person joining us would be in charge of the News Category, making decisions on how to run it....someone that is always on top of the latest news, by checking twitter, and rss feeds, etc....and has a genuine passion for breaking news to the masses.
The most important element for us, is that this new person is laid back yet proactive and likes to brainstorm and come up with new ideas to take the category forwards.
In return we offer you a place, in one of the most fun and prolific blog teams around. Everyone in the WIB team has a lot of fun, and there's a real sense of teamwork/togetherness and organisation, whilst we spread the word about music, artists and labels.
WIB has been steadily growing since our inception in 2009, and this news editor position would play a vital role in the future of WIB.

UPDATE: New Server – Apologies for the lack of posts, and downtime errors
Peace ya'll...just a quick post to apologise for the downtine and link errors that everyone was getting yesterday, and specially for the lack of posts over the last two days.
We've are working hard behind doors, to give you all a better and faster WIB that is future proof. Unfortunately the process is proving to be a bit messy and very thecnical, but we should be 100% in a couple days more.
We will still post as much as possible for the next days so make sure you keep it locked.
