AUDIO: Phife Dawg – Thought U Wuz Nice (prod by J Dilla)

Very dope gem, found by the brothers at BamaLoveSoul. J Dilla & Phife...win win chemistry.
Aw naw! As I was compiling gems for my A Tribe Called Quest tribute set tonight, I uncovered this 1999 Phife Dawg release. This jazzy Jay Dee produced gem appeared on a German release and was the B Side to Bend Ova, also produced by Jay Dee. Somehow, for whatever reason, this track didn't make it onto his album and now it's hard to find. Enjoy! - BamaLovesSoul

NEWS/VIDEO: A Tribe Called Quest Explains Documentary Beef

A little while back it was reported that the ATCQ camp had a problem with the Michael Rapaport directed documentary about the group. Interviewed by MTV's Sway, Q-Tip reads an email and lays out exactly why all but Phife Dawg were opposed to the doc. Apparently, despite the controversy surrounding their lack of support, both Q and Abstract say they don’t want fans to boycott the film and encourage them to see it.
