DILLA EVENT (Paris/France): Thank You Jay Dee featuring Black Milk (DJ Set), Onra, DJ Fab

Just like last year, our good homie, Emmanuel threw up THE BEST J Dilla party in Paris, hosted by "Free Your Funk" & Carhartt. This year they brought Black Milk, Onra and DJ Fab to host the venue, and as always it was a major success.

Major thanks to the good brother Emmanuel for sharing this goodness with us. Wish we where there.

In Yasiin Bey's next feature film he will play a role previously filled by Samuel L. Jackson who played opposite of Robert de Niro and Pam Greer. If you're not familiar with Quetin Tarantino's Jackie Brown, it's an adaptation of the Elmore Leonard book, Rum Punch. (Elmore Leonard also wrote the book/movie Get Shorty.) Switch takes place 15 years prior to the events of Rum Punch.

In Switch, Ordell Robbie (Sam Jackson's character) and Louis Gara (De Niro's character) kidnap a real estate developer's wife only to get stiffed on the ransom

This special sit-in is aligned with the BOOMBOX event that's going down later tomorrow evening. This event is more about checking out what the music academy is all about, with special guests Ali Shaheed Muhammad and DJ Maseo speaking. Make sure you arrive early to ~~Elevate~~ in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. There will be treats being served, so I'd advise you to put in your rsvp to this special sit-in. Maybe you'll be interested in joining the academy! There is a limit, so hurry!

Originality galore in this new video by ZZBRA (Moka Only & Evil Ebenezer)

We have found it! Lost footage from the most epic movie to never be seen ZZBRA. While visiting an estate sale of a recent Hollywood elite to decease, we discovered the lost trailer for the film ZZBRA made in 1983. In the same box with the trailers reel was the music video made for the song "Elephant" off of the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack produced a decade later in 1993.
