I’ve been intending to drop this joint for weeks and it always slipped my mind, so here is NY MC Papoose hitting it up with ‘Faith’. While the visuals aren’t stunning particularly, Papoose’s rapping just sucks you in, which just about sums up the album ‘Faith’ is from – The Nacirema DreamNacirema (American spelt backwards) was definitely a dream of Papoose’s having been scheduled for release years ago but only hitting the shelves in March this year, so it’s interesting to see that while the production is outdated Papoose’s lyrical skill has survived the ’00s and is still getting credit now, and he has some serious skill.

The Nacirema Dream is also remarkable because of the struggle Papoose has gone through to get it out: after signing a $1.5m record deal with Jive back in 2006 (and announcing the album), he left the next year, citing pressure to became more commercial. The dude deserves a lot of credit for that. ‘Faith’ is probably my favourite joint off the album so peep it, enjoy and support the album.
