Labtekwon is back and is just as creative as ever with his new single ‘Blessed Reject/CornerStoneDivine’. The first part is a trippy, experimental dose of hip-hop switching to a more traditional B-boy sound around the half way point. Even better are the visuals, which see Lab skate boarding his way around Baltimore and rapping next to PNC (a US financial institution), ironic given that it’s a building which feels like the spiritual antithesis of Lab’s values.

His new singles are leading up to the release of Evolutionary: The Omar Akbar Album/State of the Art, plus a box set full of next level hip-hop, with this project shaping up to be the highlight of the Summer, his consistent quality makes him one of the most slept on emcees of the past 20 years.
