Sol X is a Toronto-based producer I stumbled upon some years back when he did remixed a bunch of Coldplay’s tracks into beat tape of some sorts (called Solplay, check it here). He’s shown to be a producer with the flair for crossing genres and flipping the script with his left-field, out-the-box compositions while maintaining that hard hitting hip-hop sound. As expected, he doesn’t disappoint on this joint where he re-imagines Submotion Orchestra’s ‘Blind Spot’ and gives it a whole new life.

The track is off his upcoming EP titled Dark Lights EP. I need not say too much as words won’t do the music justice, so tune in and get with the program.

Fun fact: Sol X and I went up against each other in the last Canadian Beat Battle in Toronto and…. the best man won.
